In 1884, Southern Canvas, a small business specializing in the manufacture of tents, awnings, tarps and other canvas products was founded to serve Nashville and its surrounding areas. It was renamed Nashville Tent & Awning Co. by owner H.G. Husband and today continues to be owned/operated by the fourth generations of the Husband family! Over the years, Nashville Tent & Awning Co. has expanded to serve not only the Nashville area, but also customers on the East Coast, West Coast, as far north as Canada and as far south as the Caribbean.
